You can run 3rd party DirectX 12 games without any such retarded concerns as if they were DirectX 11 games. The Windows store (DirectX 12) bullshit limitations are and will only be a factor for Microsoft's gloriously shitty Windows store exclusive ports like GoW Ultimate, Quantum Break and Forza. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be getting a DirectX 12 patch and not have those limitations as won't Just Cause 3 etc. AotS will be available from Steam and will not suffer from any such limitations. It is not a general problem of DirectX 12. only applies to games that are either exclusive to the Windows store or bought as the Windows store version. The whole VSync and borderless fullscreen crap etc. Other than that it seems like some of you guys are pretty wildly mixing up some things here. That is why AMD definitely has a significant performance advantage in DirectX 12 when games use AC.

NVidia can not support it in hardware in Maxwell because it is not possible due to architectural limits and the software implementation via the driver that they promised months ago is still MIA. They properly support AC in hardware and nVidia does not. I also don't really like and won't buy AMD for various reasons but credit where credit is due. Due to the fact that one of the bullet points in this newsbit says that AC will have "significant performance gains" on AMD, I'm inclined to believe that AMD will generally benefit a lot from games that use AC (and Hitman is certainly not a "Mantle showcase").
